HOME CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Your tooth and surrounding gum tissue may be sore for several days afterwards. This is due to the previous conditions of your tooth and the manipulation during treatment. This tenderness is normal and will subside within a few days. It is best to avoid chewing in this area until a permanent restoration is placed.

IF YOU SHOULD HAVE DISCOMFORT:

  • You may take OTC pain medications such as Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) or Acetaminophen (Tylenol). Please follow the instructions per the manufacturer and do not exceed the maximum doseage(s). 
  • IMPORTANT: Alcohol consumption is not advised while taking these medications.

Should you experience discomfort that cannot be controlled with the above listed medications, or should swelling develop, please contact our office immediately at (440) 255-7500. If you need to call after hours, please have the phone number of your preferred pharmacy available.
